Med Surg RN Job in Anniston, AL

You will work a night shift position as a Registered Nurse on our Medical Surgical unit at RMC Anniston. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 14, 2026, with 4x12-hour shifts and every-other-weekend scheduling.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with a patient ratio of 1:6
• Perform IV starts, isolation precautions, and wound care including wound vac management
• Float to like units as required
• Assume possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Administer blood products and medications including heparin and insulin
• Manage feeding tubes, colostomy and ileostomy care, and surgical drains
• Provide oxygen administration via nasal cannula and monitor PCA pumps
• Maintain peripheral and PICC line management
• Take a required 30-minute lunch break each shift

Qualifications

• Current Alabama nursing license required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Fit Test certification required
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Travel healthcare experience preferred
