Med Surg RN Job in Anniston, AL

Baptist Health Calhoun Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med Surg position in Anniston, AL. This is a night shift role on a 3x12 schedule with an option to work 4x12 shifts if preferred. You will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:6 caring for adults and geriatric populations.

Position Details:

• Night shift with every other weekend requirement
• Float position with possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• 56-week travel assignment starting November 9, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,944
• 30-minute lunch required—no skipped meals permitted

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 1 year nursing experience
• IV starts, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac
• Blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy management, and feeding tube care
• Heparin and insulin administration
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• PCA, peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Surgical drains and Paragon charting system experience
• Alabama nursing license required

Required Certifications:

• BLS (AHA)
• Fit Test
• NIHSS (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level II trauma experience
• Travel healthcare experience
• Previous charge nurse experience
