Med Surg RN Job in Dothan, AL

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 42-bed Medical Surgical unit at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. This is a travel position lasting 91 days, beginning October 26, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 4x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 3x12 scheduling also available
• Block scheduling may be accommodated

Patient Care

• Patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7
• Adult and geriatric populations
• Daily census of 42 patients
• Orthopedic unit with Med Surg and Telemetry overflow

Clinical Requirements

• Proficiency in cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
• Titration and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Certifications and Licensing

• Active Alabama RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred

• Interdisciplinary team includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
