ICU RN Job in Idaho Falls, ID

You'll work the night shift in a 29-bed general ICU at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, a Level 2 trauma center. This is a 13-week travel assignment running 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend off. Your start date is October 5, 2026, and you'll earn $2,214 weekly.

Your Role

You'll provide direct patient care with ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:2, occasionally 1:3 when patients are preparing to leave the unit. Travelers typically float first to the ED and step-down units as needed. On-call time occurs only when census drops; otherwise, no call is required.

Clinical Skills & Procedures

You'll manage ventilators, interpret ABGs, titrate vasoactive drips, and perform hemodynamic monitoring. The unit performs intubations, central line placements, bronchoscopies, bedside tracheotomies, and PEG tube placements. You'll work with advanced equipment including Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV1000 and CCO, Prismaflexm CRRT, and Cardiohelp ECMO systems.

Unit Capabilities

The ICU supports CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ECMO. The facility houses a heart program running approximately 200 cases yearly, plus an on-site burn center. All documentation occurs in Meditech.

Requirements & Welcome Certifications

• Required: Current RN License, ACLS, BLS
• Welcome: TNCC, NIH, ABLS
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
