ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every 4th weekend shift required
• No call requirements
• Required to float to Med/Surg, PCU, and ED as needed, and may be assigned to another facility location based on staffing needs
• Must be willing to float and accept assignments within scope of practice and competency
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Experience caring for critically ill adult patients required
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills required
• Ventilator management experience required
• Titration of vasoactive drips experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Ability to work independently in a community hospital ICU setting required
• Preferred experience includes sepsis management, Rapid Response and Code Blue experience, and floating to PCU/Med-Surg
• Care for a variety of patient types including medical ICU patients, sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring, stroke patients, post-procedure and post-operative ICU patients, and patients requiring vasoactive medications and ventilator support
• Equipment includes Philips Telemetry Monitoring System, cardiac monitors, IV infusion pumps, high-flow nasal cannula, non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), mechanical ventilators, crash cart, defibrillator, and continuous pulse oximetry
• EMR system: Epic
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Unacceptable attire includes open-toed shoes, excessive jewelry, artificial nails per hospital policy, and non-approved attire
