Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Sarasota, FL

You will work as a Physical Therapist in the outpatient setting at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, treating a diverse patient population in 1:1 sessions. This is a full-time position with five 8-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday, working either 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Your Role

You will conduct 60-minute patient sessions with approximately 8 patients per day. Your caseload will include stroke, spinal cord injury, head injury, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions. If interested, you will also have the opportunity to treat musculoskeletal diagnoses. There is no float requirement, allowing you to build continuity with your patient population.

Required and Preferred Experience

• Prior outpatient physical therapy experience is required
• Current BLS certification is required
• Ability to administer or quickly learn the Fugl-Meyer Upper Extremity Assessment
• Experience with paired vagus nerve stimulation protocol (Vivistim) is a plus
• Vestibular experience is preferred

Position Details
