PCU RN Job in Queen Creek, AZ

Banner Ironwood Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Queen Creek, Arizona. This is a travel position offering 3x12 night shifts for an 89-week assignment beginning November 30, 2026. You will earn $2,559 per week.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Review patient history and physical with patients and families, ensuring timely completion
• Review diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans including discharge planning based on patient-specific needs
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate care activities, and supervise healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Participate in unit and facility shared leadership initiatives
• Contribute to staff education, role development, and orientation programs
• Support improvement of national nursing quality indicators and patient outcomes

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, with experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the PCU specialty area
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
