ED Registered Nurse Job in West Plains, MO

Ozarks Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel assignment with a 3x12-hour shift schedule combining day and night hours (11:00 AM to 11:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM). You will work every other weekend, with six weekend shifts required over the contract.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current Missouri or Compact state nursing license at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and SAFE certifications (SAFE provided by facility)
• NRP and TNCC certifications preferred

About the Role:

You will care for a diverse patient population ranging from neonates through geriatrics in a 20-room, 16-bed emergency department. Patient ratios are 1:4 across all shifts. Your clinical responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, medication management, dysrhythmia interpretation, intubation, procedural sedation, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, and trauma care. Experience with Meditech charting and previous charge nurse experience are preferred.

Support and Environment:

The department offers interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy. You will wear navy blue scrubs. Nurses may be asked to float to other departments as Helping Hands or accept patient assignments within their scope and competency.

Scheduling:

Keep requested time off to a minimum; full calendar weeks off are not preferred. You should expect to work some holidays. First-time travelers are accepted based on department review of experience and qualifications.

Compensation:

Weekly pay is $2,188. The assignment begins October 19, 2026.
