PCU RN Job in Denver, CO

Join HCA HealthONE Swedish as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 91-day travel assignment offering competitive compensation of $1,962 weekly, with a start date of November 16, 2026.

Schedule and Environment

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, in a 20-bed ICU stepdown unit with a 1:4 patient ratio. The night shift team includes one Charge RN, five nurses, and two PCTs. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac unit operating as part of a cardiac center of excellence.

Clinical Responsibilities

Your daily work will include:

• Monitoring patients using telemetry monitors, transport monitors, and other cardiac equipment
• Managing equipment such as feeding pumps, tracheostomy care, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, Foleys, pacer wires, IV pumps, and SCD pumps
• Performing procedures including chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs
• Administering cardiac drips including heparin, tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, Lasix, and ketamine

The facility uses the Meditech EMR system.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum one year of current PCU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Cardiac experience preferred
• Extensive neurology experience preferred
