ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You'll join MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit. This is a travel nursing assignment offering you the chance to deliver direct patient care in a dynamic critical-care setting while building your professional experience across geographies.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond to clinical changes
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interprofessional teams
• Manage medications, IV therapies, and life-support equipment
• Document patient care and communicate with families during their most vulnerable moments
• Participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives

Shift and Schedule:

You'll work three 12.5-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation is required, so plan accordingly for your personal time.

What You'll Need:

Current RN licensure in Iowa is required. Your critical-care experience will be valued, though we welcome nurses at various experience levels who are committed to learning in a fast-paced ICU environment.
