Telemetry RN Job in Austin, TX

You will work as an RN in Telemetry at South Austin Hospital TX on the 7-South unit, a 34-bed floor serving ortho and trauma patients. This is a 13-week night shift contract beginning September 21, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call duties

Patient Care

• Patient ratio of 1:6, with potential for 1:5
• Ortho/trauma population requiring Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing expertise
• Common procedures include wound vac management, CPM machines, external fixation, and bracing

Equipment and Systems

• Welch Allyn Vital Signs monitors and GE Telemetry Monitoring systems
• MediTech EMR platform

Requirements and Certifications

• Current RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
• Med-Surg and Telemetry experience required
• Navy scrubs required

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,708.20 for this 91-day assignment. You will be an outgoing, team-oriented professional who communicates well with colleagues and patients alike.
