Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 37-bed Med/Surg Tele unit with a 1:9 staffing ratio across all shifts
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month
• Float required to other Med/Surg unit
• Care Delivery Model using teams of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT for up to 9 patients; modified teams used when complete teams are not available
• Patient population consists primarily of elderly adults with respiratory, cardiac, GI, and neurological conditions; potential for orthopedic overflow patients
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience is a hard requirement
• Community hospital experience preferred
• NY nursing license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, central line care/management, PICC line management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care/management, and more
• Scrubs: Navy blue and white in any combination of those colors
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
