ICU Registered Nurse Job in Modesto, CA

Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in our Intensive Care Unit. You'll work 3x12-hour night shifts per week with every-other-weekend coverage and holidays as needed. Weekly pay is $2,579.30, with assignment start on October 27, 2026.

Requirements:

• Current California RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience and prior travel nursing experience
• ACLS, BLS, and current NIHSS certification
• PALS, TNCC, or TCAR certification required within 180 days of start
• Epic charting system experience
• Trauma Level II experience preferred

Clinical Skills:

You will care for patients with a 2:1 ratio and manage complex ICU interventions including ventilator care, arterial line management, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP support, high-flow nasal cannula, continuous IV sedation and paralytic administration, cardiac drip titration, vasoactive medication management, CVA and acute stroke protocols, traumatic brain injury care, and multisystem organ dysfunction support. You'll also perform 12-lead EKG interpretation, blood product administration, PICC line management, procedural sedation monitoring, IV insertion and maintenance, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and patient suctioning.

Professional Responsibilities:

You will assess, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care with accountability for direct patient care, patient and family education, and care transitions. Float coverage is occasionally required; no on-call duties. You'll develop individualized care plans incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors while fostering collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams including IV services, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.
