Operating Room RN Job in Las Cruces, NM

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
• Hours: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekly pay: $2,376
• Start date: August 3, 2026

Call and Flexibility

• On-call rotation required, averaging 7 calls per 6-week period
• Weekday call: 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend call: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Holiday coverage required
• Option available to extend to 48 hours per week
• Maximum one week of requested time off during assignment

Responsibilities

You will serve as a circulating nurse responsible for patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, and sterile field support during surgical procedures. Your role includes comprehensive perioperative nursing care, patient assessment and advocacy, surgical case preparation, equipment and supply management, medication administration, and coordination with the multidisciplinary surgical team. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, first assistants, and nursing colleagues to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient surgical workflow.

Experience and Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience required in General, Orthopedics, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry surgical specialties

Facility and Support

• Level III Trauma facility
• EMR systems: Medhost and PICIS
• No floating required
• Hospital-provided, laundered scrubs
