Med Surg RN Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Med Surg unit. You will work 3x12 rotating shifts, including day and night variable schedules, with 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks. This is a 152-week travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,205. Extended contracts through holidays are required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening, observation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Develop and implement individualized, age-appropriate, and culturally relevant plans of care
• Provide direct care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans based on patient response or changes in condition
• Administer medications and apply clinical interventions as required
• Provide patient and family education to support self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to promote health and healing
• Promote comfort and provide emotional support within a healing environment
• Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights while fostering trust and cooperation among team members
• Delegate tasks and interventions consistent with team members' education, training, and scope of practice
• Participate in quality improvement activities and engage in self-evaluation of nursing practice

Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg environment. Current NYS RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certification required.
