Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Nights: Friday and Saturday)
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Unit is a 28-bed MedSurg Oncology unit with a 1:4-5 patient ratio
• Oncology and general med surg combination unit with an inpatient hospice program
• Full telemetry unit - reading and interpreting telemetry strips is required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam during onboarding
• Oncology experience is required
• Central line and port access experience preferred, including accessing ports and changing sterile dressings
• Required to titrate Heparin, Cardizem, and other cardiac drips as needed
• Nurses responsible for nebulizer treatments, breathing treatments, and suctioning trachs; RT will manage CPAP and BiPap
• Charting system: EPIC (inpatient nurses may test out of Epic orientation)
• Orientation consists of Epic class on first shift followed by 1-2 days with a preceptor (maximum 2 days)
• Floating required within the Med Surg/Tele service line in rotation with permanent staff; union dictates floating requirements
• May be required to float throughout Region Two facilities in the area
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Professional-looking scrubs required, no t-shirts, closed-toe shoes required
• Required certifications: BLS Certification
• Chemo certification through ONS provider card preferred
• BSN not required
• Valid Washington state nursing license required
