PCU RN Job in Kansas City, MO

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position on the 5E Stroke & Brain unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,233.80
• 48 hours guaranteed per week option available
• 3 shifts per week; 3–4 weekend shifts per month
• 16-bed unit with 4:1 patient ratio

Clinical Requirements

• Stroke and neurology experience required
• NIHSS certification required
• Cardiac drips and telemetry experience required
• Advanced skills in cardiac drips and basic dysrhythmia interpretation required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Daily Responsibilities

• Telemetry monitoring on all patients
• Manage cardiac drips and monitor dysrhythmias
• Documentation via Meditech system
• Operate equipment including Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, telemetry monitors, Bladder Scanner, and Doppler
• Technician support available on the unit

Unit Information

• Floating policy applies to any area where you demonstrate competency
• Navy Blue scrubs required
