PCU Registered Nurse Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Immanuel is seeking a registered nurse for its 35-bed Progressive Care Unit, serving adult and geriatric patients. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week on a unit that combines high-acuity cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes management, and continuous EEG monitoring care.

Shift and Schedule

• Night shifts: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage patient ratios of 1:4–5 with nursing aide and patient care tech support
• Titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
• Monitor patients with continuous EEG monitoring capabilities
• Float as needed to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units
• Chart in EPIC system

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Onboarding and Orientation

You will complete a first week of general onboarding followed by 1–2 days of unit-specific orientation on the floor. You must pass an open-book orientation exam with a minimum score of 90%.

Unit Culture and Expectations

This is a fast-paced environment where you will need strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. A positive attitude is essential. Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments.

Assignment Details

91-day contract starting October 26, 2026. Weekly pay: $2,382.
