Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Must work every other weekend and holidays
• Required to float to other Medical Surgical units as needed
• Scrub color required: Ceil Blue
• Required certification: BLS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Active RN license required
• Develop individualized plans of care through patient and family interviews, health record review, and assessment of physical, cultural, religious, and psychosocial needs including discharge planning
• Initiate appropriate emergency measures when physician is not immediately available, including resuscitative measures in cases of cardiac or respiratory arrest
• Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed including medications, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation
• Plan, provide, and document patient and family education on preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures
• Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and status of coordinated activities
• Evaluate and update plan of care based on patient progress and response to nursing and therapeutic interventions
• Provide oversight, guidance, delegation, and direction to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel
• Assist in maintaining adequate supplies, equipment, and general upkeep of the unit while preserving a safe environment
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and competency while promoting professional growth for self and other staff members
