Telemetry RN Job in Springfield, MO

You will provide direct patient care on our 24-bed Telemetry unit at Mercy Hospital Springfield, working 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week assignment beginning October 7, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,055.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Monitor patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and those with medical comorbidities
• Perform drug titration and coordinate care activities with ancillary departments
• Operate telemetry monitors, IV pumps, lift equipment, and tube feeding pumps
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Float on a rotational basis as needed

Unit Details

The unit serves medical, med/tele, and observation patients. Patient ratios on nights are 1:6 to 1:7. You will work weekend hours as required by the facility and will not have call requirements. Night shift staff orient during the day shift and must be available for the full orientation week. Requests for time off will not be approved during the first week of assignment and must be made up at the end. One holiday time-off request is permitted per assignment.

Requirements

• Current RN license, eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competence in drug titration
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Black scrubs only
