ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with 36 or 48 hours per week
• 3 or 4 shifts per week considered
• Every other weekend requirement - 2 weekends of a 4-week posted schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:5 required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Candidates will be required to float
• New York nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Pyxis and SBAR communication system experience required
• 24-hour unit orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TCAR
• Required skills include: General Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, ortho-trauma, and management of ventilated patients
• Experience with Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center preferred
• Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
