ICU RN Job in Woodland, CA

Woodland Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit. You will work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with every-other-weekend rotation and holiday coverage expectations—plan to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's).

Role Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to read and interpret EKG telemetry strips
• Ventilator experience required

Unit Details:

The 8-bed ICU operates with a horseshoe layout and primarily serves a medical ICU patient population. You will manage patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, utilizing the Cerner EMR charting system. Bedside report is required. A hospitalist or intensivist is in-house at all times, with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available.

Scheduling and Expectations:

Self-scheduling is available, though the manager finalizes the schedule after balancing requests. Schedules are posted 4 weeks in advance. As a first-to-float nurse, you may be called to float to sister facilities or the Med-Surg unit (with a 4-patient maximum assignment). Mid-shift float to another facility is rare but possible. Overtime and extra shifts are available.

Onboarding and Dress Code:

You will receive 1 to 2 days of floor orientation with a preceptor. Scrub requirements are navy scrubs with undershirts in navy, white, or black; scrub jackets are optional but must be navy if worn.

Compensation and Duration:

Weekly pay is $2,229. The assignment begins November 10, 2026, and runs for 91 days.
