ED Registered Nurse Job in Odessa, TX

Medical Center Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department in Odessa, TX. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 15, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,099.52.

Role Overview

You will work in a fast-paced, 36-room, 42-bed emergency department serving a combined adult and pediatric population including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The department manages a daily census of approximately 165 patients and operates as a Level II Trauma Center. You will provide direct patient care with a 4:1 patient ratio during day shifts.

Schedule and Expectations

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts
• Alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule with block scheduling
• 12 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) required per contract
• One pre-approved time off allowed per contract
• 36-hour orientation period

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
