ED Registered Nurse Job in Utica, NY

Join MVHS Inc. as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. You will work three 12-hour evening shifts (10:30 AM to 11:00 PM) in a 64-bed unit that includes triage, acute care, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit, and psychiatric beds.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care across all age groups: newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Manage specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Administer drips and medications including pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), sedation (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Care for SANE patients as assigned
• Float to other units as required

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with some pediatrics experience
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Active New York nursing license with NURSYS verification
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Skills checklist matching ED specialty required
• Valid driver's license with address matching your demographics

Charge nurse capability is highly preferred. Wear navy blue scrubs. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. This assignment is 89 days, beginning December 14, 2026, and pays $2,668 weekly.
