Med Surg RN Job in Alma, MI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical nursing at MyMichigan Health - Gratiot in Alma, Michigan. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of October 12, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 nights per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and provide skilled nursing care according to physician-authorized plans of care and evidence-based practice standards
• Administer medications, perform treatments, provide patient education, respond to call lights, assist with transfers, and respond to alarms
• Evaluate treatment plan effectiveness and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans as needed
• Function as a team leader and resource to support staff, delegating and providing direction
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, hospital policies, and procedures

Requirements

• Active Michigan nursing license
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications required
• Skills checklist current to 1 year and pertinent to Med Surg specialty required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
• Epic experience highly preferred
• Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility

Compensation

You will earn $2,214 per week.
