PCU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at BUMC Phoenix, located at 1111 E McDowell Rd. This is a travel assignment running 89 days, starting December 7, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: 3x12 nights per week
• Weekly pay: $2,541
• Schedule includes weekends and holidays per facility guidelines

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal findings to physicians and caregivers
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including discharge planning
• Delegate and supervise licensed and non-licensed health care team members to ensure quality patient care
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise the plan as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely and legible manner
• Participate in unit and facility shared leadership initiatives
• Support education, role development, and orientation of staff, patients, and families
• Precept and mentor staff to promote professional growth when appropriate
• Actively participate in improving national nursing quality indicators and outcomes

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in PCU specialty within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
