Telemetry RN Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a part-time telemetry position. You will work 2x12-hour shifts plus 2 on-call shifts within a 4-week period, with rotation across day, night, weekends, and holidays. This role offers you the opportunity to provide acute care nursing in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify urgent or emergent care priorities for patients of all age groups
• Perform primary and secondary patient assessments, including physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs
• Utilize invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions to manage life-threatening and routine situations
• Conduct triage and assign priority of care in accordance with ESI triage standards
• Collaborate with the care team to provide direct patient care, apply appropriate interventions, and evaluate patient progress
• Provide patient and family education including discharge instructions and post-emergency care referrals
• Document and report any suspicion of domestic violence or abuse across all age groups
• Maintain patient communication boards and provide frequent updates to patients and families

Requirements

• Current New York State RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience as a registered nurse
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department hospital experience as a registered nurse
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only), and NIHSS certifications required
