Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Hermann, MO

Hermann Area District Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient role in Hermann, Missouri. This is a 13-week contract position offering stable, weekday scheduling with no weekend shifts.

Position Details

• Work 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Primarily outpatient setting with occasional acute care hospital coverage when outpatient census is low
• Daily census of 8–10 patients scheduled in 1-hour time blocks
• 8 orientation hours included

Patient Population & Clinical Focus

You will treat adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac diagnoses, including post-operative aftercare and generalized weakness.

• Orthopedic conditions: cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical surgery, post-op shoulder repair, post-op spinal surgery, spinal conditions, total hip replacement, and total knee replacement
• Neurological conditions: cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and body mechanics evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Create home exercise programs and provide patient and family education
• Complete charting in the facility's system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
• Travel experience required
• Missouri state license
• BLS certification
• Charting experience with any electronic system accepted

Compensation & Duration

Weekly pay is $2,736. The contract runs for 91 days, with a start date of November 2, 2026.
