Emergency Room RN Job in Austin, TX

Join North Austin Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in our 32-bed Emergency Department for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule with rotating weekends. You will care for patients at a 4:1 ratio in a fast-paced clinical environment without on-call responsibilities.

Compensation and Schedule

• Weekly pay: $1,708.20
• 13-week contract (91 days)
• Start date: August 3, 2026
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Rotating weekends with four shifts per schedule cycle

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage a diverse patient population in the emergency setting, handling procedures such as lumbar punctures, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting. The department uses Meditech EMR.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required by start date
• ACLS certification required by start date
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required by start date
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) required by start date
• NIHSS certification required

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs and navy blue zip-up sweater are required. Pull-over sweatshirts are not acceptable.
