Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shift schedule
• Every 4th weekend rotation required
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5.5-6 at night
• Float between Medical/Surgical units (3100 and 2100) as needed
• Care for adult patients across a variety of diagnoses including Medicine, Colorectal Surgery, Urology Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Reconstruction (Hip and Knee Replacement/Revision), Bariatric Surgery, General Surgery, and Orthopedic Spine Surgery
• Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central Line Blood Draw, Colostomy/Ileostomy Management/Care, Heparin, Insulin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, Nasal Cannula, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Peripheral Nerve Block Catheters, Phlebotomy, PICC Line Management, Starting and Maintaining IVs, Surgical Drains, Total Joint Replacement, and Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required; 2 years preferred
• Required certification: BLS
• No on-call required
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
