Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Work every other weekend required
• Floating required to any other Med Surg/Tele areas
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Scrubs color: Navy
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 year of direct Med Surg experience
• Must have at least 2 successful travel contracts prior to applying - first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Required skills: IV starts, telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Med Surg Neuro experience
• Charting systems used: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• Epic charting experience required
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Primary patient diagnoses include stroke, seizures, subdural hematomas, SAH, ICH, brain tumors, epilepsy, and other neuroscience diagnoses
• 36-hour unit orientation
• Block scheduling cannot always be guaranteed
• If a traveler calls out of a shift, they are expected to make up that day the same week or at the end of their contract
• RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite
