Telemetry RN Job in Springfield, MO

Join Mercy Hospital Springfield as a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 32-bed telemetry unit.

Role Responsibilities:

• Monitor and care for specialty surgery patients, including those recovering from GI, GU, ENT, and Urology procedures
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Operate Alaris pumps, telemetry equipment, and patient lift devices
• Coordinate care activities with ancillary departments
• Float on a rotational basis as needed
• Manage patient ratios of 1:6–1:8 on night shifts (estimates, not guaranteed)

Requirements:

• Current Missouri RN license or ability to meet Missouri licensure criteria
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competence in drug titration
• BLS certification from AHA (required prior to start)
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)
• 4 trauma credits (must complete within first two weeks if not already obtained)
• Trauma experience preferred
• ACLS certification from AHA preferred

Additional Details:

• Night shift orientation occurs during day hours; you must be available the entire orientation week
• No on-call requirements
• Weekend hours required as per facility scheduling
• EMR system: EPIC
• Black scrubs required; torn clothing and open-toed shoes are not acceptable
