About this role

Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center is seeking a dedicated RN for a progressive care unit night position. You will work three 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) in a patient-centered environment that values clinical excellence and collaborative practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice standards
  • Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to population-specific needs including age, gender, and diagnosis
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration, including rounds and case reviews
  • Partner with patients and their significant others to keep them informed and actively involved in the care plan
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nursing professionals and students
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, data collection, and evidence-based practice activities

Required Qualifications

  • RN license (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
  • BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
