Job Details:

• Night shift position
• 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
• Minimum of 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday requirements apply
• Float within Zone 1 if needed, as determined by nurse manager
• Call or standby requirements determined by nurse manager
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Treat 75+ patients per day in a 54-bed emergency department with trauma bays
• Work in a Trauma Level III and Comprehensive Stroke Center facility
• Manage common diagnoses including abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injuries, and extremity pain
• Administer common drips including cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPap, and high flow oxygen
• Perform and assist with lab draws alongside phlebotomy team
• Fast track, separate triage area, holding area, and psych/seclusion rooms available
• In-house security available 24/7 within the ER
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs
• Chart using EPIC electronic health records system
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• BSN not required
• Must be within 60 miles of facility, driver's license must be submitted
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), TNCC
