Telemetry RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in our Telemetry unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 12-week travel contract with the option to extend to 36 or 48 hours per week. You are guaranteed 36 hours weekly on a 3x12 night shift schedule with every other weekend requirement. There is no on-call expectation.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with a typical ratio of 1:4-5
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias on telemetry
• Manage IV insulin protocols, feeding tubes, and hemodialysis pre/post care
• Administer blood products and manage central lines, PICC lines, and port access
• Start peripheral IVs and perform phlebotomy
• Manage cardiac drips (no titration required), heparin protocols, and PCA pumps
• Administer thrombolytic agents and support patients with substance withdrawal
• Provide care for ortho trauma, traction, and respiratory support including nasal cannula and oxygen masks
• May float within the service line as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam prior to start date
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• First-time travelers welcome
