Operating Room RN Job in Albany, NY

Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 5x8 hour shifts on day schedule, providing perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties in a fast-paced surgical environment.

About the Role

You'll support complex surgical procedures requiring strong expertise in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular cases. Your responsibilities will include:

• Perioperative assessment and patient preparation
• Instrument and equipment management during procedures
• Monitoring patient safety and surgical site integrity
• Post-operative patient care and handoff
• Collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical teams

Requirements

You must demonstrate competency across multiple surgical specialties with documented experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular procedures. Strong perioperative care knowledge and ability to manage complex surgical cases are essential. Current RN licensure in New York is required.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day contract beginning November 15, 2026. You'll work days on a 5x8 schedule, with possible on-call requirements. One position is available to fill a vacant role.

Compensation and Benefits
