Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with weekend rotation
• Current licensure in the state of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact licensure required
• Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current hospital nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrate use of evidence-based practice, accepted protocols, and nursing judgment to maintain professional nursing standards
• Basic knowledge of orthopedic procedures, treatments, and use of related equipment required
• Ability to coordinate, organize, and prioritize complex multiple patient assignments
• Basic knowledge and care of oncology patients required
• Demonstrate safe and timely medication administration with proper documentation
• Provide nursing care to patients in an efficient, professional, compassionate, and caring manner
• Implement nursing care through the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Effectively communicate with patients, support persons, and members of the healthcare team
• EMR system used is Paragon; training will be provided
