Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call required
• Float required as needed to other campus locations
• Charge RN shifts required as needed - Charge RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• No holiday RTO accepted
• Care provided to adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical surgical patients on a 32-bed unit
• Telemetry monitoring available on unit
• On-unit physical therapy gym available for patient use
• Accommodates ED patients, sometimes with high acuity
• Patient populations include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, shoulder repairs, kyphoplasties, and neck or back surgeries
• Special equipment includes CPMs, Buck's Traction, and neck and back braces
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, total joint replacement care, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, PICC line management, continuous bladder irrigation, tracheostomy care, PCA management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy
