ED RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time travel assignment in the Emergency Department. You'll work a 3x12 rotating blocked weekend schedule, earning $2,490 weekly over a 90-day contract beginning November 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You'll work in a high-volume adult Emergency Department that manages more than 100,000 visits annually. Your responsibilities include direct patient care, assisting with boarder patients, floating between units as needed, charge duties, holiday and on-call coverage, and callback responsibilities per unit needs. You'll treat a diverse patient population in a state-of-the-art facility in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• Minimum two years of ED experience
• Previous travel ER experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification

Schedule

You'll work three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating blocked weekend schedule. Options include working 36 or 48 hours per week depending on your preference and unit needs.
