ICU Registered Nurse Job in Novato, CA

Sutter Health Novato Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026, with block scheduling on a 3x12 day shift pattern.

Position Details

• Weekly pay: $2,178
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week with every other weekend required (13 weekend shifts per contract)
• Patient ratio: 2:1 across all shifts
• Patient populations: Adult and geriatric

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Valid California RN license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA or ARC certified)
• Charting system experience
• Previous charge experience preferred

Clinical Skills Required

• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Central line care and central venous pressure monitoring
• Arterial line management and blood gas interpretation
• PICC line and port access/management
• Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade management
• Cardiac drip titration and dysrhythmia interpretation
• High-flow nasal cannula and BiPAP/CPAP management
• CVA and acute stroke management with NIHSS protocols
• IV insulin protocols and emergency medications
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Phlebotomy, suctioning, and isolation precautions

Support Services

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation.
