Med Surg RN Job in Janesville, WI

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville is hiring a registered nurse for their Adult Surgical Unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide direct patient care on an adult surgical unit with some pediatric patient beds
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and hospital policy
• Provide patient and family instruction and education
• Document according to standards of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members utilizing the nursing process
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and patient experience, escalating appropriately through the chain of command
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plans of care
• Float to other units as needed

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin nursing license
• NIHSS and CPR/BLS certifications
• Education verification
• Travel experience preferred

This is a 91-day assignment beginning September 4, 2026. You will earn $2,332 per week with ADEX Healthcare Staffing.
