Med Surg RN Job in Wichita, KS

Join Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas as a travel Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical Surgical/Surgical Services unit. This 91-day assignment runs from September 8, 2026, and offers a competitive weekly pay of $2,422.

Position Details

• Work three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 35-bed Medical Surgical/Surgical Services unit
• Patient ratio: 6:1
• Day shift team includes 1 charge nurse coordinator, 6 RNs, and 3 patient care technicians

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a surgical services environment
• Work with traction equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Support patients undergoing total joint and spine procedures
• Implement spine, hip, and joint precautions as indicated

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience in Med/Surg, Surgical Services, or Orthopedics
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with traction equipment
• Experience with spine, hip, and joint precautions
• ACLS certification
• Collaborative team player with a compassionate approach to patient care
