ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 36/48 hour alternating schedule with 84 hours guaranteed biweekly
• Weekend coverage required
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 3 years of experience preferred; travel experience preferred and required
• First-time travelers will not be accepted
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 62-room emergency department with a daily census of 190
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Key clinical skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, IV vasopressors, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, procedural sedation, triage, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, splint application, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, psychiatric holds, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries expected
