PCU RN Job in Glendale, AZ

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is seeking a registered nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. This is a 3x12 day shift position with an 89-week duration, starting November 9, 2026. You will earn $2,541 weekly.

In this role, you will:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care for patients across the PCU
• Complete thorough patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Formulate and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate care delivery, and supervise healthcare team activities
• Document all nursing activities accurately and timely in patient records
• Evaluate patient progress and revise care plans as needed
• Participate in research activities and quality improvement initiatives
• Mentor and precept nursing staff and students
• Work a varied schedule with weekend and holiday rotation requirements
• Float to support other units as needed

Requirements:

• Current valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

You will work in a progressive care setting where patients require closer monitoring than general medical-surgical units but do not require intensive care-level intervention.
