Telemetry RN Job in Southampton, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a 12-hour day shift role in telemetry at Emergency Staffing Service Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in Southampton, NY. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,310.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Float to other med-surg and telemetry units, ER Hold, and in rare cases ICU/CCU as a support nurse
• Assess patient conditions and coordinate nursing care with other healthcare disciplines
• Develop and maintain written individualized care plans including teaching needs and discharge planning
• Administer direct patient care, medications, and infection control practices
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for assigned patients
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the Charge RN or clinician
• Provide documented evidence of patient and family teaching in medical records
• Ensure patient education aligns with physician guidance
• Work effectively with interdisciplinary staff and participate in quality assurance activities

Required Qualifications:

• RN degree
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• PALS required due to the unit's capability to admit pediatric patients over 5 years old

You will assume full responsibility and accountability for the delivery of nursing care to all assigned patients, maintaining professional standards while contributing to team-based care in a dynamic hospital environment.
