ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Night shift position in the ICU
• 48 hours per week preferred; 36 hours per week may be considered
• Weekend coverage required
• May be required to float outside of the ICU
• Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; PALS or ENPC within 1 year of start date; TNCC preferred
• Must be proficient with skills including: arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care/management, blood product administration, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, ICP monitoring, CVA/acute stroke management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), external ventricular drain (EVD), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, PICC line management, phlebotomy, and care of ventilated patients
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
