Med Surg RN Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking a full-time Med Surg RN for their acute care unit. This is a 124-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 rotating shifts (day, night, weekends, and holidays)
• 36 hours per week plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks
• Weekly pay: $2,205
• Location: 196 North St, Geneva, NY

Requirements

• Current New York State RN Licensure
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification

Your Role

You will assess patient and family needs through active listening, direct observation, and collaborative communication with the health team. You will develop and implement individualized care plans in partnership with an interdisciplinary team and provide direct care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions.

Your responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating patient progress, adjusting care plans based on patient response or change in condition, and providing patient and family education to support self-care and lifestyle changes after hospitalization. You will administer medications and clinical interventions as required, delegate tasks consistently with team members' scope of practice, and promote comfort and emotional support in a healing environment.

You will comply with infection prevention strategies to safeguard patient and public safety, participate in quality improvement activities, and engage in ongoing self-evaluation of your nursing practice.
