ED RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital Northeast in San Antonio, TX is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the Emergency Room. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule, with shifts running either 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend is required, and on-call responsibilities are part of this role. You are guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Perform procedures including conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis management, stroke care with TPA administration, and chest pain and heart alerts
• Float per Methodist Floating Policy
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication with clinical staff

Requirements

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 or more years of emergency room experience
• Required certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• CEN certification preferred
• Meditech documentation system experience preferred

• Dress code: Navy scrubs required; undershirts and jackets must be white, navy, or black only
• Nails must be no longer than one inch, clean, natural, with no acrylic or chipped polish
• Hair must be off shoulders and natural color
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
