ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, a high-volume facility managing over 100,000 patient visits annually. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of June 29, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 days per week (6:45 AM–7:15 PM)
• $1,918.44 weekly pay
• Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling to meet department needs

Role Responsibilities

• Float within all sections of the emergency department (no floating outside ED)
• Manage typical patient ratios of 4:1 medical; up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Use Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards and maintain respectful, team-oriented behavior
• Provide coaching and real-time feedback to support department teamwork
• Work alongside ED techs for cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing support
• Collaborate with unit clerks available during day and night shifts

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of start
• Previous Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
