Med Surg RN Job in Augusta, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical unit at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. This is a 98-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Shift: 3x12 nights
• Weekly pay: $1,885
• Every other weekend required
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Expected to work major holidays that fall within assignment period (up to two if three occur)

Role Details

• Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Patient ratio: 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS certification
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting, Pyxis, and SBAR documentation

Required Clinical Skills

• Blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation
• Heparin administration, isolation precautions and PPE use
• MS/Tele monitoring, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen administration
• PCA management, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy
• Starting and maintaining IVs, substance withdrawal assessment
• Surgical drain care, rapid response and code team participation, wound care and wound vac management

• Interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
